Home Treatments for Whitening Your Nails

  • An excellent home remedy to whiten the yellow fingernails is soaking the nails in lemon juice for five minutes. Take a sufficient amount of lukewarm water in a bowl. Then add one teaspoon of freshly-squeezed lemon juice in it. Soak your nails in the mixture for five minutes and then wash your hands. Finally, massage with a hand cream or lotion.
  • Combine 1 tbsp. of baking powder and 1 tbsp. of lemon juice. Rub this mixture on your nails for a couple of minutes and then wash your hands. Don’t forget applying a hand cream or lotion to replenish the moisture.
  • Take two denture-cleaning tablets and dissolve them in one glass of water. Soak your nails in it for at least five minutes. Cleanse your nails thoroughly using am old tooth brush and then wash your hands. Apply the moisturizer to prevent extra dryness.
  • Make a paste of 1 tbsp. of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 2-3 tbsp. of baking soda. Apply this paste on yellow nails for 5 minutes to whiten them.
