SAS: Who Dares Wins star’s brother who killed own daughter found dead in prison

A twisted dad who fatally knifed his eight-year-old daughter in an “act of revenge” against his ex has died in prison.

William Billingham, whose brother Mark Billingham stars in Channel 4 show SAS: Who Dares Wins, carried out the brutal attack at his bungalow near Walsall, the west Midlands, in January 2018.

He stabbed Mylee once through the chest when her mum came to collect her from his home.

Karim Khalil QC said his ex-partner Tracey Taundry had started a relationship with another woman, leaving him furious.

Billingham has since been found dead at HMP Birmingham.

The 58-year-old, who was serving a life sentence, was slumped in a chair in his cell, The Sun originally reported.

Billingham had been moved to a wing for elderly and frail inmates in mid-2020, it is claimed.

A source told the newspaper: “He was found on Sunday morning. He was found in a chair, the officers had opened up and found him.

“It drove people mad, he was living the life of luxury in there.

“He worked on the servery helping give meals out to fellow inmates.”

A Ministry of Justice spokeswoman told the Daily Star: “HMP Birmingham prisoner William Billingham died in custody on 19th March 2021. The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman has been informed.”

Jurors at Billingham’s trial were told his daughter screamed “Please Daddy, no Daddy, stop it” during the attack.

The dad-of-six then ”violently” thrust the blade into Mylee’s chest in a “swift, deliberate and brutal” manner as a “final act of revenge”.

Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, of the West Midlands Police homicide unit, said in 2018 that Billingham had shown no remorse after being interviewed.

Commenting on the murder, he added: “It’s the most selfish act you can think of. It is the greatest breach of trust that you can imagine as a father.

“Mylee was an eight-year-old girl. She had every reason to believe that Billingham was the most trusted person in the world. To carry out an act and actually take Mylee’s life … it’s terrible.”
