Chrisley Knows Best fans have been speculating for weeks about Julie Chrisley’s whereabouts after she was listed as “not in BOP (Bureau of Prisons) custody.” The reality star’s absence from the Bureau’s records left many questioning whether she had been released early or transferred to another facility. However, the U.S. Marshals have now confirmed Julie Chrisley’s current status.

Julie Chrisley is in the custody of U.S. Marshals and is being transported from FMC Lexington, where she has been serving her prison sentence, to Atlanta for a court hearing. This confirmation comes after the Bureau of Prisons had initially refrained from sharing details about her location, citing safety concerns. The BOP had indicated that her “not in custody” status could be due to various reasons, including medical treatment or court appearances.

Julie is expected to appear in court for her resentencing hearing on September 25. Her request to attend remotely was denied, and she must be present in person. This hearing comes after her sentence was vacated in July, following a reevaluation of evidence that failed to determine her role in the crimes before 2007.

Julie and her husband, Todd Chrisley, were convicted of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and tax evasion, receiving prison sentences of 7 and 12 years, respectively. However, in September 2023, both had their sentences reduced, with Todd now serving 10 years and Julie expected to serve less than 6—before her sentence was vacated.

There is growing speculation that Julie Chrisley may be released from prison soon, potentially by the spring or summer of next year. Family lawyer Jay Surgent revealed that Julie could even be moved to a halfway house, allowing her to be closer to her children, Grayson and Savannah, and her granddaughter, Chloe.

The possibility of Julie’s early release has been an emotional subject for her family, especially her daughter Savannah. Recently, Savannah shared that she has been having “vivid dreams” about her mother’s release, expressing hope for a heartfelt reunion.

Fans of Chrisley Knows Best can still catch up on the family’s earlier moments by streaming the show on Peacock, while the Chrisleys continue to navigate their legal battles.
