Three diseased puppies named Piper, Phoebe, and Paige were dumped outside a rural shelter early one cold morning. While Piper and Phoebe were lingering around a half-empty bag of food, Paige’s sickness was so severe that she was too frail to even move. She was concealed by a raggedy blanket, and was enduring extreme pain by the time a shelter worker discovered her.
Piper, Phoebe, and Paige were diagnosed with non-contagious mange, with the vet calling it the “worst case ever”. Their skin was raw, bleeding and scabbed. Considering Paige’s delicate situation, the trio was transported to a rescue called “Perfectly Imperfect Pups” for a better chance at survival. Piper and Phoebe were quickly situated in good foster homes, but Paige’s treatment was a major challenge.
The vet was unsure if Paige would make it with her progressed infections. In a desperate attempt to save her life, her caretakers caked her with a layer of medicated cream and honey and bandaged her up. For days, Paige was delirious from the maddening suffering. But having loving and attentive humans around her pushed her to fight back.

She has definitely had a terribly cruel and rough start in life, but watching her heal has uplifted our hearts and made us cry!
