McDonald’s has declared summer 2024 the “summer of deals,” but the excitement doesn’t end with value meals. As we embark on summer vacations, what better way to celebrate than with new menu offerings from the Golden Arches?
While the classic Big Mac and Coke remain beloved staples, McDonald’s limited-time offerings (LTO) are perfect for those craving something different. This summer, the LTO menu will feature an all-new Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry and the return of two fan-favorite burgers.
Starting July 10, McDonald’s is bringing back its Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder with Cheese and its Smoky BLT Double Quarter Pounder. These quarter-pound burgers, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, bacon, and smoky BLT sauce, first appeared on menus in 2022 alongside the Oreo Fudge McFlurry. This year, McDonald’s is swapping the chocolatey Oreo for crispy chocolate wafers, strawberries, and bananas in a new dessert while keeping the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounders the same.
The burgers are an upgraded version of the original Quarter Pounder with Cheese—adding crispy bacon, juicy tomatoes, crunchy lettuce, and a smoky, creamy sauce in place of the traditional pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard. And, just like the classic, the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder with Cheese can be supersized to include two quarter-pound patties on the Smoky BLT Double Quarter Pounder.
McDonald’s BLT burgers closely resemble the Quarter Pounder BLT sold year-round in Canada. However, unlike the Canadian menu, the U.S. BLTs won’t extend to breakfast offerings. Given that fans have eagerly awaited the return of the smoky bacon burger for two years, it’s no surprise that excitement is high.
One enthusiastic customer said, “I’ve been craving the smoky, juicy, crispy burger since I had my last one two years ago. I can’t wait to get my hands on it again.”
So, if you’ve been missing the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder, now’s your chance to enjoy it once more. But hurry—these mouthwatering burgers are only back for a limited time. Get to the drive-thru ASAP to savor the smoky, crispy goodness before it’s gone.
