According to a report by The Mirror published on Thursday, August 15, 2024, the terrifying chain of events began around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at a residence on Jay Are Court in Virginia Beach. The Virginia Beach Police Department stated that the children’s mother was viciously attacked and stabbed before the suspect forcibly took the three children from the home.
The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Dana Demetrius Plummer, allegedly fled the scene in a black 2024 Honda Passport SUV, which is distinguishable by its temporary tags reading ‘37550R.’ The abducted children have been identified as Zayin, five; Zayir, three; and Zariyah, one. The Amber Alert, issued across Virginia, has prompted widespread concern and mobilization of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
Authorities have expressed deep concern for the children’s safety, fearing they are at significant risk due to the circumstances surrounding their abduction. Plummer, described as a Black male with brown hair and eyes, stands approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing gray pants and a black jacket. The youngest sibling, one-year-old Zariyah, stands approximately 24 inches tall and weighs about 40 pounds. She was last seen in a Trolls-themed dress paired with pink tights.
