Shortly after the deadly shooting at a grocery store in Boulder, Colorado, Vice President Kamala Harris’ niece, Meena Harris took to Twitter to unleash a disgusting racist and sexist attack against white men, blaming them for the shooting even though it was carried out by a Syrian immigrant.
“The Atlanta shooting was not even a week ago. Violent white men are the greatest terrorist threat to our country,” Meena Harris said in a now-deleted tweet.
The vice president’s niece clearly took no time in waiting to see the ethnicity of the shooter and instead decided to take it out on white men.
Check out what Breitbart reported:
Earlier Monday, suspected gunman Ahmad Al Aliwi Al-Issa, 21, allegedly opened fire inside a King Soopers store, shooting dead 10 people, including active-duty police officer Eric Talley, 51, before he was taken into custody by responding officers. Al Aliwi Al-Issa, a resident of Denver who reportedly moved to the U.S. from Syria at age three, was shot in the leg during the rampage and has received medical treatment for his wounds at a hospital. He was charged with 10countsofmurder earlier Tuesday.
Meena Harris later issued a follow-up tweet, detailing why she removed the tweet as she took another shot at white men: “I deleted a previous tweet about the suspect in the Boulder shooting. I made an assumption based on his being taken into custody alive and the fact that the majority of mass shootings in the U.S. are carried out by white men.”
Steve Krakauer on Twitter accused Harris of misinformation. Twitter has yet to institute a suspension against Harris.
Unlike Meena Harris, we at Trending Politics pride ourselves in research and giving you the facts. The shooter, Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, was not white and instead is a Trump-hating Syrian immigrant who came to the United States when he was three years old.
Check out what Breitbart reported:
On March 22, a gunman opened fire at the King Soopers grocery store in Boulder, about 25 miles northwest of Denver, Colorado, and killed ten people between the ages of 20 to 65-years-old. The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa.
According to ABC News investigative journalist Aaron Katersky, Alissa arrived in the U.S. at age 3 from Syria and became a naturalized American citizen. Alissa faces ten counts of first-degree murder.
In the first few hours of taking office, President Joe Biden restarted immigration from Syria despite the State Department classifying the country as a “state sponsor of terrorism.”
Former President Donald Trump famously implemented a travel ban from a series of countries that have long been plagued with terrorism. Trump’s travel ban included Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Venezuela, North Korea, Nigeria, Myanmar, Eritrea, Sudan, Tanzania, and Kyrgyzstan.
