A Florida man is in custody after threatening to kill former President Donald Trump, his Vice President J.D. Vance, and their families. The arrest of Michael M. Wiseman comes just one week after the recent assassination attempt against the former president during a rally in Pennsylvania, told The New York Post.

Neighbors expressed shock over Wiseman’s arrest, which took place on Friday. Although they hardly knew him, they described Wiseman as a quiet man who walked his three little dogs. One neighbor even mentioned that he seemed like a nice guy. Wiseman’s wife, on the other hand, said she is embarrassed and mortified by the situation.

The investigation began after Juniper police received tips from the public. Authorities reported finding no guns or mental health issues with Wiseman. However, the police took the threats more seriously following Saturday’s attempted assassination of the former president.

Deputy Chief Mike Barbera of the Jupiter Police Department emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, “We take all threats to human beings seriously here at Jupiter Police Department. But, giving light on what happened a couple of days ago. We took it a step further. When you get on that keyboard and want to post to social media, really think about what you’re saying, or putting out there.”

Records indicate that Wiseman is a registered Democrat. His arrest comes amid heightened security measures by the Secret Service around the former president following last Saturday’s assassination attempt.

To ensure safety, school buses now line the area where the former president’s plane is expected to land on Sunday. Additionally, there will be road closures near Mar-a-Lago, starting at 5:00 am Eastern.

This incident highlights the increasing security concerns and the serious nature of threats made against public figures, particularly in light of recent events. The authorities’ swift action reflects their commitment to protecting individuals and maintaining public safety.
