A couple in Phoenix, Arizona, narrowly escaped serious harm when a car crashed into their home on Friday, August 30, leaving them with minor injuries. The terrifying moment was captured on CCTV footage by resident Sabrina Rivera, who was preparing to have dinner with her partner on their couch when the vehicle smashed through the wall of their home.

The dramatic video shows the car barreling through the living room wall, just inches away from where Rivera and her partner were sitting. Despite the severity of the crash, the couple and their four dogs, who were also in the room at the time, miraculously escaped with only minor injuries.

Rivera spoke to Storyful about the ordeal, expressing relief that everyone survived but noting the toll it has taken on them. “They are sore and scared. No injuries were found, but definitely a vet visit will be in play when we have funds to cover it,” Rivera said of their dogs. She added, “The incident destroyed everything.”

The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that the driver of the car was arrested at the scene. Authorities believe that impairment played a role in the crash, though further details have not been disclosed.

In the aftermath of the incident, Rivera and her partner have been left with a severely damaged home and are now facing the daunting task of making repairs. To help cover the costs, the couple has launched a GoFundMe campaign, hoping to raise enough money to rebuild what was lost.

The crash has left the couple shaken, and Rivera emphasized how fortunate they feel to have escaped without serious harm. However, the financial burden of repairing their home and ensuring their pets’ well-being remains a significant challenge.

As they begin to pick up the pieces, Rivera’s words underscore the emotional and physical impact of the crash: “The incident destroyed everything.”
