Boxer Cheyenne Hanson suffers sickening face swelling after brutal fight is abandoned

German boxer Cheyenne Hanson has been left with a huge swelling on her face after a clash of heads in her latest bout.

Hanson took on Ukrainian Alina Zaitseva though the fight was abandoned due to a nasty injury to the German.

She was still awarded victory with rules stating that any fight that ends early due to a clash of heads is decided by the current scores by the ringside judges.

Hanson, 23, quickly felt the force of the clash of heads with the side of her face swiftly swelling up.

Hanson shared before and after pics on her social media, showing just how much her face had swollen up.

Hanson’s win earned her the vacant BDB International German Championship with it being her eighth win out of nine career fights.

RT Sport report that Zaitseva had been warned several times for leading with her head before the contest was stopped.

The injury has been compared to that suffered by UFC star Joanna Jedrzejczyk last year with the Pole having a major head injury.

Jedrzejcyzk was left barely recognisable after her fight with Weili Zhang at UFC 248, though both fighters had to be taken to hospital.

ESPN reporter Ariel Helwani confirmed Jedrzejczyk was discharged with no significant injuries.
