Fruits and diabetesFruits and diabetes are companions in a way. Sometimes they complement each other while one becomes a problem for another at other times. Fruit and diabetes need to understand each other to go peacefully together. Diet and nutritious values are and should b a concern for non-diabetic and diabetic people alike.

Fruits and diabetes can be understood by dividing fruits into two categories; fruits which are good and fruits which are bad when we talk about fruits and diabetes. Although fruit is a must in-take even for non-diabetic people because good diet and nutritious food is essential for everyone, but fruit and diabetes go hand in hand.

Good fruit and diabetes:

When we talk about diet and nutritious food or fruit and diabetes, we must keep in mind that Fiber rich foods are not just a good diet and nutritious but also should be taken in the form of fruits. Good fruit and diabetes cancel out the bad effects of diabetes in your body and give you a longer, healthier life. Fruit and diabetes, if handled properly together, can also wipe out the need for medicines. Fiber slows down the process by which sugar is absorbed in your system, which makes apples, pears, apricots, blueberries, kiwifruit, strawberries, pomegranates, and avocados excellent diet and nutritious food for diabetic people.

Bad fruits and diabetes:

As said earlier, fruit and diabetes can be bad friends if you don’t know what you are taking in. What you think is good diet and nutritious food might actually be harmful for you. Diabetic patients often take a lot of glucose filled fruits without knowing that glucose filled fruit and diabetes don’t go well together. Fruits which don’t go well with diabetic patients are bananas, dates, grapes, watermelon, pineapples and oranges.  They are no doubt included in good diet and nutritious foods, but only when you take them in small amounts.

Now that you have a fair idea of how fruit and diabetes should be handled together, you can start having healthy diet and nutritious food and start a happy, healthy life.
