So thankfully, a psychology graduate has shared the life-changing hack that helps her fall asleep in just five minutes.

A TikTok user who posts under @psychologee shares study hacks like how to “drastically improve your memory for exams” and interesting psychology facts, but it’s her tip to get to sleep in record time that has everyone talking.

In a clip that has been viewed more than 3.7 million times on the social media platform, the woman said: “My psychology professor told me this trick to fall asleep in five minutes.

“It cured my insomnia.”

She explained that all you need to do is to start listing things in your head – but you must ensure that they aren’t directly related.

A few of her examples included: potatoes, Tarzan, and a violin.

“The more random the better,” she added.

Since being posted, the video has been liked 565,000 times and has received almost 4,000 comments from impressed viewers who were eager to give it a try.

One said: “HE SAID BORE YOURSELF TO SLEEP LMAO.”

Another wrote: “The harder you try to fall asleep, the harder it is so if you’re concentrating on random things you’ll fall asleep faster.”

A third added: “I’m gonna try this tonight.”

“This actually works, I did it last night from watching this video,” said a fourth.

But another said: “My brain’s just gonna try to find connections.”
