Stuck in the same old outfits? It’s time to revamp your fashion closets.
COLOUR BLOCK
Here comes the Winter season with unexpected rainbows of colours from fashion designers and runways and I’m happy to be away from the boring blacks, grays, nudes and browns. I know they are staple fashion must have colours in any fashion girl’s wardrobe but injecting colour into the autumn/ winter season is like a breath of fresh air. Shades like cobalt, electrifying pink, canary yellow, vibrant orange and azure paint a lovely picture for next season fashion trend. The runways were set on fire from the fashion designers with fresh confident palettes of scorching tones, at YSL and Versace. What better way to get through the dreary weather?
That’s right, the tigers, leopards, cheetahs and zebras are going nowhere so your fashion outfitinvestments from last season will see you through this season too. This defiant fashion trend has well and truly lasted longer than anyone of us might have imagined it would! Use my fashion tips and keep your animal fashion piece to one item though. Don’t mix and match these prints, whatever you do because that would be fashion suicide! My fashion tips with this print are: If you have animal printe d shoes, just wear them with solid colours and bright red lips! Or wear an animal printed dress with a rock chic leather jacket.
THE AVIATOR JACKET
For the autumn/ winter season the fashion spotlight turns to the aviator flying jacket think of fashion designers such as Burberry and DKNY. This looks like its going to be a key defining piece in every fashion and style setter’s wardrobe. My fashion tips include taking some inspiration from vintage looks and search for jackets which have exaggerated collars and multitude of straps and buckle details! Strong sexy, yet feminine think Amelia Earhart– this fashion look is so NOW. All you need is a handsome co-pilot!
THE ALPINE KNIT
Think Christmas and Gap Christmas adverts all rolled into one! Yes, those snowflake sweaters seem to have made a strange fashion comeback for winter this year. The fashion trend and knit has been seen in shows from fashion designers such as Chanel and D&G, as well as high street version from fashion retailers like Warehouse and Kookai. My fashion tips for wearing this trend with style are to wear oversized sweaters as dresses with a belt and some boots or opt for a tight sweater with leather shorts and high heels. Go on, give it a go!
