Only the second show after debuting this February, their exposure reaches from North and South America to Europe and Asia representing a $14 billion and growing industry. Labels from all over the world including celebrity lines and plus size design houses introduced their collection at the event. Bringing intimate wear to every kind of woman, this show blurred the lines between fashion and girl power.

Holding the first Lingerie Fashion Week February 2013 in New York, the show was met with such positive feedback from both media and the community that a brand new fashion week was born. Created as a platform for launching the industry of lingerie, the show features loungewear, sleepwear, shapewear, hosiery, solutions and accessories. Most fashion shows may bring to mind rail thin models wearing the print of the season; Lingerie FW features every type of body shape, from plus size to pregnant, and showcases a multitude of designers, some who create specifically for larger busts or petite bottoms. And on top of the variation, the models here seem to have a lot more fun.

More than high fashion design was a continuous look of comfort that traversed every brand. Lace colorblock bodysuits from Lola Haze and Rococo Dessous’ 24kt gold threaded intimates, all looked made to wear for beauty and comfort. You! Lingerie sent pregnant models down the runway in bright pastels, prints and lace. Balconette and full coverage bras were huge across each fashion line as well as bottom-baring hipster panties.

Between shows guests went to parties hosted by lingerie bloggers, press lounges so they could tweet and/or blog about the event while recharging both mind and device, a cotton lounge to showcase the fabric from participating designers, all while ice cream and coffee were served, keeping both guests and models happy. To top it off the official gift bags were filled with lingerie soak, a new Brazilian spa clay line, hair products, cotton totes and even more coffee.
