The royal rift between Prince William and Prince Harry has only deepened in recent years, fueled by events like the release of The Spare, the Oprah Winfrey interview, and the Netflix documentary. As the time for William’s eventual coronation draws closer, palace insiders suggest that, despite his personal feelings, the Prince of Wales is unlikely to exclude his younger brother from the historic event. According to royal expert Christopher Andersen, William won’t make a “foolish” mistake, even though he desires his coronation to “look and feel different.”

A close friend of William previously told the UK Sunday Times that the ongoing estrangement between the brothers is “dreadfully sad.” Despite this, Andersen remains hopeful that William will extend an olive branch to Harry on his big day. “Despite all the bad blood between the brothers, I’m convinced that, when the time does come, William will not be foolish enough to exclude his only sibling, now fifth in line to the throne, from his coronation,” he told Fox News.

Currently, the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry is at its most strained. Sources indicate that William and King Charles have jointly decided to distance themselves from Harry and Meghan for the time being, with no signs of reconciliation on the horizon. “William and Charles have pretty much made the joint decision to effectively cut Harry out of their lives, at least for the time being. There is no sign of a reconciliation on the horizon, and everyone involved seems to have pretty much come to terms with that,” the source explained.

Royal insiders also claim that King Charles and Prince William have grown increasingly frustrated with the Sussexes’ public behavior, particularly their “attention-grabbing” efforts to maintain a royal-like image despite stepping down as senior royals.

As William steps up to take on a more significant role within the royal family, handling more public duties and responsibilities, Prince Harry has taken a very different path. The contrast between their lives is becoming more evident, especially as William prepares for his eventual ascension to the throne following King Charles’s death.

“William is carrying a very heavy psychological burden at the moment,” Andersen continued. “He is deeply upset that his wife and his father are battling cancer at the same time. He must keep a brave face not only for his three young children but also for the sake of the monarchy.” Despite these challenges, it seems likely that William will put aside personal grievances when it comes time for his coronation, ensuring that his brother is present on that significant day.
