Rue McClanahan of “The Golden Girls” has died at the age of 76. She died of a brain hemorrhage at the New York Presbyterian hospital. He was a survivor of breast cancer, for which she was treated in 1997. She also had a bypass heart surgery last year.
She won an Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series in 1987 for her wonderful performance in “The Golden Girls”. She also acted in movies and on and off Broadway shows. She also has her autobiography “MY First Five Husbands … and the Ones Who Got Away” (2007) to her credit.
