Selena Gomez has been confirmed as the host of this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards.
The 19-year-old Justin Bieber’s girl is just so excited to front the ceremony, which will takes place in Belfast, Ireland, on November 6, as well as connecting with fans globally by tweeting throughout the event, as well as offering commentary and sharing behind-the-scenes secrets via the official websites.
The brunette beauty said, “I’m so excited to be the host of the 2011 MTV EMAs – it’s a dream come true. This is such a huge event that always recognizes the biggest stars in music from across the globe, so it’s a real honor to be MC at this year’s show.”
According to reports, Lady Gaga is up for Best Female, Best Live Act, Best Pop Act, as well as Biggest Fans accolade for her dedicated group of ‘little monsters’ and both Best Song and Best Video for ‘Born this way’.
Close behind Gaga, is 25-year-old Katy Pery, Adele, the top selling artist of the year to date, Selena’s boyfriend Justin Bieber and rockers Thirty Seconds to Mars are up for three awards each.
