Selena Gomez “blames” Bieber, according to Life & Style, which describes her problems as culminating in a “breakdown.” The media outlet cites sources who revealed that she has summed up 2016 as ranking high on her list of “worst years.” After canceling her Revival World Tour for what she revealed was a desire to focus on her health, Selena is feeling “backed into a corner” by Justin, shared one of the insiders. All of those photos showing Sofia and Justin at the height of their romance were “really hard” for Gomez to handle, added the source.

However, Gomez isn’t going to let the wreckage of her romance with Bieber keep her off the comeback trail, and Life & Style cites a friend of Selena’s who revealed that the singer’s goal is to make a comeback. “She wants everyone to know where she’s coming from and how she feels,” clarified the pal. “She knows she needs to take care of herself.” A source told In Touch Weekly that Selena had a “meltdown” because of Justin. Moreover, this insider feels that Bieber didn’t do anything special to cause her problems, he just ignored the “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” singer.
Noting that Selena Gomez cancelled her tour to put her focus on her health, In Touch confirmed that she is battling lupus (an autoimmune disease) but also alleged that “her unhealthy relationship” with Bieber is the real reason for the tour cancellation, combined with “constant partying.” The unstable on-again, off-again romance, added to her “partying,” caused Selena to have a “meltdown,” the insider clarified. Bieber attempted not to let Gomez affect him, but that decision to ignore his former girlfriend just exacerbated the situation, according to the source.

However, rather than link her problems to Justin Bieber, Radar Online describes a different reason for Gomez’s issues, citing a source who says that those close to her checked her into rehab following drug abuse allegations. “It is terrible that she has lupus,” emphasized the insider, “but she is using this as an excuse for everything lately and the truth is that she is just a mess right now. She has been feeling completely alone lately.” In addition, Radar links the tragic June murder of her friend Christina Grimmie to drug abuse allegations, reporting that the death of her close pal added to other issues sent her “spiraling into drug abuse.” The source claims that Gomez was using “Lunesta, Ambien, Klonopin and Xanax” prior to an intervention from those close to her, which allegedly resulted in rehab.
