According to Box Office Mojo, she has entered the top 10 list of the top-grossing film stars in Hollywood, with a U.S. box office revenue of over $3 billion. Harrison Ford tops the list ahead of Samuel L. Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hanks, and Scarlett’s Avengers castmate Robert Downey Jr., while Eddie Murphy, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, and Michael Caine also make the top 10 ahead of the actress. At 31, Scarlett Johansson is also the youngest star in Box Office Mojo’s top 10.

She’s nine spots ahead of the nearest actress – Cameron Diaz is 19th on the new list. And Helena Bonham Carter (26), Cate Blanchett (29), Julia Roberts (30), Elizabeth Banks (31), Emma Watson (32), and Anne Hathaway (50) are the only other women in the top 50. Scarlett Johansson biggest movie to date is 2012’s The Avengers, which earned over $623 million (GBP463.3 million) in America alone. This year, she also starred in The Jungle Book, Hail, Caesar! and Captain America: Civil War, while her upcoming slate of movies includes Rock That Body, Ghost in the Shell, and Sing.

Scarlett Johansson is also part of the Hollywood women’s movement geared towards equal pay for actors and actress, and in her May 2016 cover story for Cosmopolitan, she said, “There’s something icky about me having that conversation unless it applies to a greater whole. I am very fortunate, I make a really good living, and I’m proud to be an actress who’s making as much as many of my male peers at this stage. “I think every woman has (been underpaid). But unless I’m addressing it as a larger problem, for me to talk about my own personal experience with it feels a little obnoxious. It’s part of a larger conversation about feminism in general.”
