Salma Hayek Complements Figure in Strapless Black Dress at Film Premiere

Salma Hayek labelled herself ‘short and chubby’ in a recent magazine interview. But Salma Hayek looked far from that description at the New York premiere of her new film. The 46-year-old actress arrived at the AMC Loews cinema wearing a figure-hugging black dress which showed off a hint of her legs due to the lace lower section. Upon removing her blazer jacket, the frock emphasised her enviable curves by nipping her in at the waist for the screening and supporting her ample cleavage.

The 5ft 2in star added a bit of height to her frame with ebony peep toe high heels and made her image pop with the addition of a red clutch bag and scarlet lipstick. Promoting her latest flick, Here Comes The Boom, Salma appeared alongside stars including Kevin James and Adam Sandler.  But while Hayek put on a sleek show to greet her admirers, Sandler dressed extremely casually in a layered ensemble which consisted of a hooded jacket and checked shirt. The film, also starring Henry Winkler and mixed martial arts fighter Bas Rutten, tells the story of a high school biology teacher who looks to become a successful fighter in an effort to raise money to prevent extra-curricular activities from being axed at his cash-strapped school.

While Adam is not in this flick, he has appeared in countless motion pictures with Kevin and stars in the 2010 and 2013 movies Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2 with both screen stars.  In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she attributes her success to luck and appears to be one of the few stars to acknowledge how difficult it is to carry on working in Hollywood once you get to a certain age. She said: ‘The worst thing you can be in Hollywood is a woman and over 40.

‘On top of that, I have an accent, am dyslexic, short and chubby. You name it I have it, but I am here. I must be the luckiest girl in the world to be working.’ Hayek has been a Hollywood staple for more than fifteen years since finding fame in the 1995 film, Desperado. – Dailymail
