Meghan and Harry, known for their close-knit circle of famous friends in Montecito, were spotted attending a family and friends party at Godmothers, a trendy bookstore co-founded by literary agent Victoria Jackson and cosmetics mogul Jennifer Rudolph Walsh. The cozy evening event saw the couple perfectly matched in cream-colored ensembles, setting the tone for the stylish affair.
Meghan wowed in wide-legged Ralph Lauren trousers paired with a matching tank top, while Harry looked effortlessly dapper in a linen shirt, chinos, and tan suede loafers. Their relaxed yet elegant outfits complemented the warm, intimate atmosphere of the gathering. Meghan opted for loose waves and a smoky eye makeup look, while adding a touch of sparkle with her diamond tennis necklace from Logan Hollowell and delicate gold bracelets.
The event was attended by none other than fellow Montecito residents and close friends, Oprah Winfrey, comedian Ellen DeGeneres, and her wife, Portia de Rossi. Oprah, who has long shared a bond with the Sussexes, was seen the following day alongside Meghan during a panel discussion at the bookstore. The Duchess switched up her look for the panel, sporting a chic black tuxedo-style jumpsuit from Club Monaco with her hair tied back in an elegant ponytail.
Godmothers, the evening’s venue, is a charming new bookstore and social space nestled in a white barn near the ocean in Summerland. Interestingly, it was Harry who suggested the name “Godmothers” after referring to Oprah, Victoria, and Jennifer as his “fairy godmothers” during a previous event celebrating his memoir Spare in Beverly Hills, Town & Country reported. The bookstore features a special display of works from local authors, including Harry’s Spare and Meghan’s children’s book, The Bench.
The Sussexes’ joint appearance came just ahead of Prince Harry’s 40th birthday, which he will celebrate with a close circle of family and friends at their Montecito home, along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
