KELLY Osbourne was rushed to hospital yesterday after suffering a seizure while filming her latest TV show. In dramatic scenes, the reality star collapsed and began shaking violently on the studio stage as her co-host and a doctor in the audience tried desperately to help her. Paramedics took Kelly, 28, away on a stretcher to a Los Angeles hospital, where her condition remained unknown last night.
She was recording the latest episode of US cable show Fashion Police just before midday when she turned to her co-host, actress Melissa Rivers, and said: “I don’t feel good.” Moments later Kelly, whose family have recently been stricken with health problems, fell from her chair and began to shake as Miss Rivers, daughter of Joan, went to her aid. A member of the audience who was a doctor also ran forward before the ambulance crew arrived. The star was stretchered away draped in a white sheet.
Kelly was thrust into the limelight in the reality series The Osbournes, when her rocker dad Ozzy and mum Sharon invited the TV cameras into their home. Since the series the family have been hit with a series of health bombshells. Sharon, 60, fought off cancer but had a double mastectomy last year as a precaution, while Kelly’s brother Jack, 27, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last June. And Black Sabbath star Ozzy, 64, has had long-running health problems, partly related to years of drug and alcohol abuse. – Thesun
