Prince William and Prince Harry reportedly had a “frosty” encounter during the funeral of their beloved uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, sparking renewed speculation about their strained relationship. Amid the tension, Princess Kate is said to have quietly stepped forward, hoping to mend the growing rift between the estranged brothers.
According to Fox News, royal commentator Christopher Andersen shared insights into Kate’s feelings about the situation. He revealed that Catherine had a “special bond” with her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, and that she would love to see the Duke of Sussex reunited with his brother, the future King of England.
Andersen explained Kate’s relationship with Harry, saying, “She was close to Harry, true. They had a special bond. They shared the same goofy sense of humor and laughed at the same jokes. Harry often said Kate was the sister he never had.”
As the mother of three, Kate is reportedly eager for the brothers to reconcile. “She would like nothing better than to have the brothers kiss and make up. It would be one less cloud hanging over the Royal Family’s head,” Andersen noted. However, despite her desire for peace, Kate remains “loyal” to her husband, Prince William, who is firmly against the idea of reconciling with Harry and Meghan Markle due to their controversial statements against the royal family.
The tension between the brothers was on full display at the funeral, held at St Mary’s Church in Snettisham, Norfolk, where both Prince William and Prince Harry attended to pay their respects to their late uncle. Despite being in the same space, the two reportedly did not exchange a single word with each other during the memorial service.
As the royal family continues to navigate these strained relationships, Princess Kate’s hopes for reconciliation may be challenging to realize, especially given the deepening divide between the once-close brothers.
