In the tumultuous current climate of Royal affairs, Prince Harry may yet have an opportunity for reconciliation with his family following the controversial release of his tell-all book ‘Spare’ and the revealing Netflix documentary with his wife Meghan Markle. According to a Royal analyst, for any chance of reconciliation to come to fruition, it is pivotal that Harry acknowledges a misstep.

Since opting out of their Royal responsibilities in 2020 and moving stateside, the Sussexes have openly criticized the Royal establishment, fueling existing tensions, particularly with now King Charles and Prince William. The rift was exacerbated by Prince Harry’s conspicuous absence from prominent Royal gatherings, most notably amidst health concerns for his father and sister-in-law Kate Middleton, who recently attended the Trooping the Colour festivities despite health setbacks, reports The Express.

Nonetheless, there may be a light at the end of the tunnel for mending family ties, as former Royal butler Grant Harrold told the New York Post: “The only way I see this happening is a public statement from Harry, where you come out and say that you were in a bad space and that [Spare] was a mistake.”

The former royal staffer, who previously served King Charles, has expressed skepticism about the likelihood of Prince Harry reaching out to mend his Royal ties, admitting, “I don’t think that’s going to happen. Some bad things were said, and some families never patch things up, and that’s how it is forevermore,” he said, hinting at a permanent rift and suggesting Harry might one day regret his candid memoir.

Despite acknowledging Harry’s charitable spirit with “He’s got a big heart,” Harrold doesn’t see a reconciliation on the horizon with the Prince and Princess of Wales, pointing to “too much damage” done, reports the Mirror.

Harrold further commented on the strained relations, saying, “[Harry] caused damage and broke down trust,” and doubted a return to their former closeness: “I doubt they’ll ever get back the relationship they had originally.”

As tensions remain high, the possibility of a heartfelt apology from Harry might be the key to bridging the gap. The revelations in ‘Spare’ and the couple’s documentary have laid bare the depth of the rift, making the path to reconciliation a challenging one. However, should Harry take the step of publicly addressing the impact of his actions, it might open the door to healing and perhaps a new chapter in his relationship with the Royal family.

For now, the world watches as this Royal saga continues to unfold, with hopes that time, and perhaps a significant gesture from Harry, can mend what has been broken.
