Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear to be embracing a “new normal” in their relationship, as the couple increasingly attends events separately. Royal expert and author Phil Dampier suggests that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are intentionally pursuing individual commitments, indicating a shift in their public lives.
Dampier pointed to Prince Harry’s recent solo appearance in New York and Meghan’s attendance at a children’s hospital gala in Los Angeles, where she wore a stunning red dress. According to The Sun, Dampier observed that Meghan looked “relaxed” and “happy” at the event, suggesting that the couple is comfortable navigating separate work engagements.
The royal expert explained to the publication that fans may now be seeing a shift in the couple’s dynamic. “We’ve now seen Meghan on her own, which reinforces the idea that, to some extent, they seem to be leading separate lives—certainly on the work front,” he said.
Dampier highlighted Meghan’s appearance at the Los Angeles gala, noting, “She turned up wearing a very stunning red dress that she had previously worn with Harry a couple of years ago.” He added, “She looked very relaxed and happy, laughing and joking with the kids at the event.”
Dampier believes this approach may be part of a deliberate strategy. “It’s clear that, at the moment, they’ve decided it’s better for them to go their separate ways in terms of their work and charity commitments,” he commented.
As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to navigate their roles, this “new normal” might signal a period of independence in their professional lives while still maintaining their relationship and shared goals.
