As Prince Harry approaches his 40th birthday, it’s clear that his life has taken a dramatically different turn from his royal roots, told the Mirror. Firmly settled in California with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, the Duke of Sussex has chosen to focus on family and U.S.-based projects, leaving behind any lingering speculation of a return to royal duties or the United Kingdom.

Through a spokesperson, Harry expressed his deep joy in fatherhood, calling his children the “best gift” he has ever received. “I enjoy watching them grow every single day, and I love being their dad,” he said, emphasizing his contentment with his current life, as said The Express. As for his 40th birthday, the Duke plans a quiet celebration at home with his family, followed by a small gathering with close friends. There are no plans for a return to the UK for this milestone event, which quashes previous rumors that Harry might reengage with royal duties.

Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker highlighted Harry’s focus on California and his projects through the Archewell Foundation, including charitable work and entertainment ventures with Netflix. Walker also noted that Meghan is organizing a private party for Harry at their Montecito home. Afterward, the Duke is expected to take a brief holiday with friends, sparking lighthearted speculation about whether this trip will echo his infamous Las Vegas getaway from a decade ago.

While Harry’s life in California thrives, the rift between him and the royal family continues. “A return to royal duties is not on the horizon for Prince Harry,” Walker confirmed. Both King Charles and Prince William have remained silent when asked about their relationship with Harry, indicating that tensions across the Atlantic persist.

In the coming weeks, Harry will be in New York City to mark the 25th anniversary of the Diana Award, a charity in memory of his mother, Princess Diana. While both Harry and William support the charity, they will do so from opposite sides of the ocean, underscoring their ongoing separation.

As Harry reaches this milestone, it’s evident that his priorities have firmly shifted toward family and his work in the U.S., signaling a new chapter in his life far from royal traditions.
