The eldest child of actress Gwyneth Paltrow turned 17 yesterday and Paltrow celebrated the moment with a special post on Instagram. She shared a stunning photo of her daughter along with a caption that said, “Can it be? 17 today?? My sweetest girl… YOU ARE MY LIFE! You make me belly laugh every day. You are brilliant and hardworking. You are fully YOU which I respect and admire so much. I wish I had had even a spoonful of the self-acceptance you have when I was your age. You are so inspiring and just so cool. I remember the morning you came into the world so perfectly, I just can’t believe it was 17 years ago. Happy birthday, my angel.”
The Goop founder shared a portrait of Apple sporting some bright pink nails and sitting in front of a gorgeous beachside setting. While we can’t get over how quickly Apple has grown up, we also can’t get over the fact that she looks more and more like her mom every day.
Fellow celebs showed their love in the comments, like actress Sasha Alexander, who said, “Where has time gone? Happy Birthday Apple!! Wishing you every day of joy & love!! Keep shining!” Celebrity hairstylist Harry Josh noted the similarities between Apple and her mom, saying, “What a beauty and same hair!” Meanwhile, Paltrow’s Glee co-star, Kevin McHale, couldn’t get over the fact that Apple is already 17, commenting, “Noooo” with a bunch of crying emojis.
This is not the first time Paltrow and her daughter have shown their close relationship on social media. Just last month, Apple trolled her mother’s morning routine in an iconic TikTok.
