Glee has done it again.
The popular singing show has already seen it’s main stars, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, fall in love both on and off the program and now, it has set two more young hearts on fire. Newcomers Blake Jenner and Melissa Benoist have not only fallen in love, but are getting married. Us Weekly revealed on Thursday the two actors have recently got engaged.
A source told the magazine that The Glee costars are ‘officially engaged‘ despite only recently confirming they were even dating. While not yet household names, 24-year-old Melissa has already been earmarked as the actress to follow in Lea’s footsteps. Her character new girl Marley Rose joined the cast in Season 4 and has been described as the ‘new Rachel’ – Lea’s lead character.
Not doubt their off-screen romance while also see 20-year-old Blake fill the shoes of Cory’s character, Finn. The newly engaged pair have already stepped into the roles of two other famous love birds – Sandy and Danny from Grease. The couple preformed a Grease number on Glee with Melissa donning Olivia Newton John’s famous black Lycra bad girl costume.
Blake can thank a Glee spin off talent competition for all his good luck. The shaggy haired actor won a role on Glee after beating out 13 other hopefuls on The Glee Project. The reality show has now not only landed him a great job but also the girl. Representatives for both actors declined to comment on the pair’s personal lives when contacted by Us Weekly. Neither star has made mention of it on their personal social media accounts.
