Sometimes, the media can be downright prophetic. At least, that was the case with Eva Longoria and her new boyfriend. Back in March, the former “Desperate Housewives” star was rumored to be romancing entrepreneur Ernesto Arguello, one of the cast members of the reality dating show she was executive producing, “Ready for Love.” It simply wasn’t true.
Until it was.
In an interview with People magazine, Longoria, 38, admits she started dating the 34-year-old gentleman from Miami after those reports surfaced. “I guess we have the press to thank for pushing us to see something we didn’t see,” she said. “Happy to share NOW that it’s true,” she wrote on Twitter when the People story was published. “Couldn’t be happier.”
“Me too baby, I LOVE YOU,” Arguello added on the social media site. While the show may not have been a success, it looks like this match may be. “I think that’s why our relationship is so special – we truly started as friends,” Longoria gushed to the magazine.
The happy couple has already been jetsetting together, taking a trip to Honduras to see the school and homes Arguello built for impoverished families in the community in which he was born. And let’s not forget their trip to Nicaragua, where Longoria met the fam.
The actress, who’s now producing the new series, “Devious Maids,” on Lifetime, has been married twice: to “General Hospital” star Tyler Christopher from 2002-2004, and basketball player Tony Parker from 2007-2011. Arguello previously dated former Miss USA Shandi Finnessey.
