Oh Lola! The new ad of fashion designer Marc Jacob’s perfume staring 17 years old actress Dakota Fanning got banned.
U.K.’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned the ad of Oh Lola!, Marc Jacob’s new fragrance that features young actress Dakota Fanning. Dakota Fanning is wearing a knee short dress in the advertisement and is holding the purple-pink bottle of Oh Lola! between her legs.
ASA banned the ad saying it ‘too suggestive’. According to them, ‘the length of her dress, her leg and position of the perfume bottle drew attention to her sexuality. Because of that, along with her appearance, we considered the ad could be seen to sexualize a child.’
However, Marc Jacob has argued that the image is ‘provoking but not indecent.’
