• Synopsis
The story is about a US Marine Sgt. Logan Thibault, who has returned from a third duty tour in Iraq to find his love of life. Thibault found a picture of a woman near a bombed-out building and instantly fell in love with her. He returns home to find that woman whom he believes is the reason for keeping him alive. He spots her in a small town as Beth Green and ends up with a job at her dog kennel. Slowly, the two get close and fall in love with each other. Green has an ex-husband who is possessive about her and does everything that he could to push Thibault out of Green’s life.
• The Author
Nicholas Sparks is famous for his romantic dramas. He has a number of books that have been turned into films in the past. A walk to remember, Dear John, The last song and The Notebook have been his most famous works.
The Lucky One is another creation by Sparks that has been turned into a film most recently. Sparks is one such writer who has written some really touchy novels. Whatever he writes, people at Hollywood want to turn it into a movie and the audiences rush to the theaters to see it even if they have the book already in the libraries.

• Reception
The Luck One has, although, attracted a lot of audiences but has failed to impress the critics. Being the work of Sparks, it was anticipated to beat the box office records but it couldn’t make it because of the loopholes in the storyline. Overall, it is an average work piece that you could watch if you are a die heart fan of Nicholas Sparks and don’t have anything else to kill the time!
