Travis Kelce, now in the spotlight due to his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift, shared that his family is embracing the attention with open arms.
In a local commercial, Kelce reflected on his fame, saying, “It’s the life I chose, I guess. I have fun with it.” He also acknowledged the perks of being in the public eye, adding, “It comes with the territory of wanting to do fun activities like this and signing up for cool sponsorships and endorsements.”
The NFL star revealed that his mother is particularly enjoying the limelight: “Everyone’s loving it. Mama Kelce is having so much fun.” While his father is still adjusting to the attention, Kelce shared that his brother Jason, who is no stranger to fame, is handling it like a pro.
Kelce, who has been spotted frequently at Swift’s Eras Tour concerts, struggled to pick a favorite song from the pop star, saying, “They’re all my favorite. You see me at a concert, you’ll see me singing them all.”
As the host of Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, Kelce explained why he believes fans connect with him: “I hope it’s because they see I’m just a genuinely good person, and I love what I do.”
Kelce also shared on The Rich Eisen Show that Swift has developed a keen interest in football since they started dating. He jokingly revealed that she’s even been creating football plays for him, although he’s not sure if his coach, Andy Reid, will implement them.
In the end, Kelce’s approach to fame is all about spreading joy: “I’d rather give everybody happiness and something to cheer about than otherwise.”
