True sportsman with extra style and triumphs is the American professional golfer Tiger Woods who has marked his championship in golf prior entering professionally. He has ultra dexterity in golf playing due to which he has still maintained number 1 position in golf worldwide.

Most successful golfer of all time Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods was born in Cypress, California on 3o December 1975. He is half Asian, one-quarter African American, one-eighth Native American, and one-eighth Dutch owning to his parents origin. He himself refers this ethnic blend as “Cablinasian”, a syllabic abbreviation he has derived from Caucasian, Black, (American) Indian, and Asian.

Tiger Woods got his nickname ‘Tiger’ from a Vietnamese soldier friend of his father and became known by that name since junior and amateur golf playing. He was a golf genius that he was introduced to golf before age of two by his athletic father Earl, who was also a golfer. He made his appearance in Golf Digest and on ABC’s that’s Incredible at age five. After two years Tiger joined and won the Under Age 10 section of the Drive, Pitch, and Putt competition, held at the Navy Golf Course in Cypress, California before turning seven. From 1984 to 1991 he won six Junior World Golf Championships at his early career stage.

He became youngest U.S. Junior Amateur and Golf Digest Junior Amateur Player of the Year for 1991 while attending Western High School in Anaheim at the age of 15.

He graduated from Western High School in 1994 and was starred for the high school’s golf team under coach Don Crosby. He professionally started his career in August 1996 and signed endorsement deal with Nike, Inc. he raised himself to Official World Golf Rankings in 1997.since then he achieved 14 professional major golf championships and 71 PGA Tour events. He is the only second golfer after Jack Nicklaus who has achieved the career Grand Slam three times. Tiger Woods is the highest-paid professional athlete in world who has conquered 16 World Golf Championships and has been awarded ten times record breaking PGA Player of the Year.

Tiger Woods took a leap in December 2009 from golf profession and plunged again in golf competition in 2010 for the 2010 Masters. He was announced richest sportsman in world in July 2010 earning $105m according to Forbes and $90.5m according to Sports Illustrated.
