Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York United States. In 1981, during his study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he got basketball scholarship and led the Tar Heels to a National Championship in 1982. Then after two years Jordan joined the Chicago bulls of National Basketball Association and started his professional career there. He quickly emerged as a star winning hearts of crowd with his unbeatable performance and enthusiasm.
His successive wins over honored him nicknames ‘Air Jordan’ and ‘His Airness’. His biography on the National Basketball Association (NBA) website states, “By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time.” He was the best marketed athletes of his arena and had been main spokesman of brands such as Nike, Coca-Cola, Chevrolet, Gatorade, McDonald’s, Ball Park Franks, Rayovac, Wheaties, Hanes, and MCI. He also has privilege of achieving awards on international fronts as Naismith Memorial Basketball hall of fame 2009, 2 Olympic Gold Medals 1984 and 1992, 6 times NBA champion and 10 NBA scoring titles and many more. It goes well with his saying, “I play to win, whether during practice or a real game. And I will not let anything get in the way of me and my competitive enthusiasm to win.”
