Simone Biles is feeling the aftermath of a celebratory night in Paris following her remarkable performance at the 2024 Olympics. On Monday, August 12, the 27-year-old gymnastics superstar shared a glimpse of her post-Olympic festivities on Instagram, revealing that the night out had taken its toll, told The People.

“The reason I’m unwell this morning,” Biles wrote on her Instagram Story, captioning a video from the party where the crowd was seen cheering and waving an American flag. The celebration was a fitting tribute to Biles, who had just added three more gold medals to her already legendary career.

In another clip from the night, Queen’s iconic anthem “We Are the Champions” played in the background as confetti popped and a sign reading “Gym legend Simone Biles” was held up in her honor. Despite the joyous atmosphere, Biles couldn’t help but reflect on the morning after. “If you see me out at the club, pls tell me to go home. For my own sake & health in the AM,” she humorously advised her followers, sharing a black-and-white video of herself and her younger sister, Adria, singing along to Waka Flocka Flame’s “Grove St. Party.”

Biles had every reason to celebrate. At the Paris Games, she secured three gold medals in the women’s artistic individual all-around, women’s vault, and team all-around events, alongside her teammates Suni Lee, Jade Carey, Hezly Rivera, and Jordan Chiles. She also earned a silver medal in the floor exercise, narrowly missing a podium spot in the beam final.

“Beam final is always the most stressful,” Biles admitted during a press conference earlier this month. “Usually we have musical or background noise, whatever that may be, and honestly we do better in environments when there’s noise going on because it feels most like practice. Today you could hear some of the Android ringtones going off, the photo flickers, whatever that was [and] so you try to stay in your zone.”

As the most decorated American gymnast in history, Biles has fans eagerly wondering about her future in the sport. When asked about the possibility of competing in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, she played coy. “Is this my last? Definitely [my final] Yurchenko double pike,” she said, referring to her signature vault performance. “I mean, I kinda nailed that one.”

While Biles hinted that she’s not entirely ruling out a return, she also acknowledged the challenges of continuing at the highest level. “The next Olympics is at home [in Los Angeles],” she said. “So, you just never know. But I am getting really old.”

Following the press conference, Biles took to social media to address the constant speculation about her future. “You guys really gotta stop asking athletes what’s next after they win a medal at the Olympics,” she wrote on X. “Let us soak up the moment we’ve worked our whole lives for.”

As Biles enjoys her well-deserved celebration, her fans and the gymnastics world will be eagerly awaiting whatever comes next, whether it’s in the gym or beyond.
