Best known for playing Bella Swan in ‘The Twilight Saga’, Kristen Stewart is an American actress working since 1999. She comes from parents who are already part of both film and television. Her father John Stewart is a stage manager and television producer whereas mother Jules Mann-Stewart is a script supervisor.
Kristen Jaymes Stewart was born in Los Angeles, California, U.S. on April 9, 1990. Her acting career began at the age of eight years only despite the fact that she wanted to be a writer or director but fate paved her way to acting. Her first role was in the movie The Thirteenth Year. She then appeaeed in film The Safety of Objects but her major role was in the movie Panic Room in 2002 for which she was nominated for a Young Artist Award.
Kristen Stewart then worked in children’s action-comedy Catch That Kid and played the role of Lila in the thriller Undertow. She appeared in the fantasy-adventure film Zathura in 2005 and received a lead role in the supernatural thriller film The Messengers as Jess Solomon.
Her gradual performances in many films finally raised her to the role as Isabella “Bella” Swan in 2007 for the film “Twilight” that was based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling vampire romance . She co-starred Robert Pattinson, as her vampire boyfriend. In 2008, she won the MTV Movie Award for Best Female Performance for playing Bella Swan in “Twilight”. She then appeared in the sequels “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”, and “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”, and recently in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1”, the much awaited sneaks peaks of which are planned to air on June 5, Sunday at the MTV Movie Award 2011.
