Watkins began suffering from severe nausea, vomiting, and intense abdominal cramps, which led to her being rushed to the hospital. There, she was diagnosed with an abdominal blockage, a condition that required immediate medical attention and left her unable to continue performing.
Taking to Instagram stories, T-Boz and Chilli shared the news with their fans, explaining the situation and the difficult decision to cancel upcoming shows. “Watkins experienced sudden and severe nausea, vomiting, and intense abdominal cramps,” they wrote. The post continued with an explanation of her diagnosis and the medical advice that led to the cancellations.
As a result, TLC was forced to postpone two highly anticipated performances: one at the New York State Fair in Syracuse on Friday, August 23, and another at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket on Saturday, August 24.
“Tionne deeply regrets having to cancel these shows and extends her sincere apologies to all her fans and the event promoters,” the group added, expressing their heartfelt remorse over the situation.
Despite the disappointment, T-Boz and Chilli reassured fans that they are committed to rescheduling the canceled shows as soon as possible. “TLC is committed to rescheduling the canceled shows and apologizes to all the fans, particularly those who traveled long distances to attend.
