Sam Asghari recently shared his thoughts on the news that Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman In Me, is being adapted into a movie. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of his new film Jackpot, Sam expressed his hopes for the biopic, stating, “I just hope that they have her approval and everything and they do justice by her legacy because it’s a really strong one.”

Though the former husband of the pop icon was unsure who would portray Britney in the film, he made it clear that his focus remains on his own acting career. “I just don’t — I like to focus on these films,” he said, referencing his role in the upcoming action movie starring John Cena. Sam also mentioned his dedication to his craft, saying, “I want to play other characters as well, so I’m really focusing on my craft.”

In the same interview, Sam opened up about his experience working with John Cena, adding a touch of humor to the conversation. “I did not take an injury, but I did take a really nice hit from John Cena. He’s a strong man, but you know what, it was a pleasure.”

These comments came shortly after Sam had addressed his breakup with Britney in July. Reflecting on their time together, Sam shared, “You learn so much from being in relationships in general. I appreciate all the amazing experiences that I got.” Despite their split, he spoke fondly of Britney, saying, “I’m always going to celebrate the past and learn about the past and move on to the future.”

Sam’s sentiments were heartfelt as he concluded, “I wish her the best. She’s an amazing person and a huge part of my life and I always appreciate the moments we had together.”

As fans eagerly await the film adaptation of Britney’s memoir, Sam’s supportive words add another layer of interest to the project, highlighting the enduring respect and admiration he holds for his former partner.
