Katie Holmes has set alarm bells ringing after being spotted walking alone in New York City with what appeared to be bruises on her face. However, these bruises were mysteriously absent in photos the actress later shared on her Instagram page.
Holmes, who recently attended her daughter Suri Cruise’s high school graduation, was seen hugging and walking with her daughter at the event. Notably, the teenager’s father, actor Tom Cruise, was nowhere in sight.
The “Batman Begins” actress was recently seen strolling alone on the streets of New York for what seemed to be a casual outing. According to photos from the outing, Holmes wore a black T-shirt, white flowy pants, and black ballet flats. She carried a purse over her shoulder and wore a cap, accessorizing the casual look with diamond earrings. Despite her casual attire, Holmes sported an unexplained black eye, raising concerns about her well-being. She tried to hide the bruise with her dark-colored baseball cap, leaving fans speculating.
Interestingly, Holmes’ facial bruises were absent in her recent Instagram posts. She shared three bare-faced selfies, wearing a blue striped shirt and a hoop nose ring, with her ragdoll cat, Eleanor, lying beside her on what appears to be a bed. She captioned it “Eleanor” with a heart emoji. In these photos, her eye appeared unblemished, prompting several fans to comment on her beauty. “Hello Katie, what a beauty! Also, your cat is beautiful,” one fan wrote, while another called her the “hottest woman alive.”
In another Instagram post, Holmes announced her upcoming guest role on the popular series “Poker Face,” starring Natasha Lyonne. “Thank you @nlyonne for having me!” she wrote. Other stars joining the series include Giancarlo Esposito, Gaby Hoffmann, and Kumail Nanjiani.
Holmes was present to celebrate her daughter, Suri Noelle’s graduation from the prestigious LaGuardia High School in New York City. According to People Magazine, Holmes and Suri were seen celebrating together, although Tom Cruise was noticeably absent. Suri, dressed in a red cap and gown over a white dress, posed for photos with her mom, who wore tortoiseshell sunglasses, a white collared shirt, white pants, and silver heels. They were seen hugging and walking together after the event.
Suri, whose relationship with Cruise has reportedly been strained for over a decade, will attend Carnegie Mellon University. She recently made headlines by dropping “Cruise” from her name and going by “Suri Noelle,” her mother’s middle name. Suri is also understood to have severed ties with her other siblings after seemingly shunning their efforts to contact her over the years. A source told the Daily Mail that she has a “non-existent” relationship with them, primarily due to their devotion to Scientology and feeling outcast because Suri is Tom’s biological child.
