Kate Lawler has welcomed the arrival of her baby daughter.
The Big Brother legend and fiancé Martin first shared the news back in September 2020 that they were set to hear the pitter-patter of tiny feet this month.
Kate, who shot to fame after winning series three of Big Brother back in 2002 and Martin who she has nicknamed Boj, shared their happy news on Martin’s Instagram account.
He penned: “Hi everyone, sorry for the radio silence, it’s been a long day.
“Nuchky is fine, fit and healthy, as is Kate. We had a bit of complication but Nuchky is ok and on the quick mend and will be with us tomorrow, all being good.”
He added: “Nuchky is gorgeous and has lots of hair which make me think Kate definitely has a hairy lover out there.
“I didn’t know how else to tell the news except with these s**t cab selfies but thank you for all of your messages.
“It’s been an overwhelming day. I’m glad to see she has about 2000,000 aunties ready to march for her if she ever needs help.”
She took to social media in November to announce that she was having a daughter in a video accompanied by Beyoncé’s hit single, Run The World (Girls).
The Virgin radio Dj took to her Instagram page on Thursday morning to inform fans that she had been taken into hospital after her waters broke, 11 days before her due date.
Due to coronavirus restrictions, Kate was pictured in a face mask while she said she was waiting for her “little Nuchky” to meet her parents.
Sadly just six weeks before she was due to give birth, she was informed by medical staff she may have to give birth alone, telling followers in January that Martin hadn’t been allowed into appointments with her
Kate and Martin had started trying for a baby when their dream wedding had to be rescheduled due to the ongoing pandemic.
At the time of announcing that their family was expanding, Kate, 40, told Hello! Magazine: “I have never felt more ready.”
She added: “The wedding got cancelled and I wasn’t thinking about a baby at all. But when we rebooked it for the following year, a few of our friends and family said we could have a baby between now and then I laughed.
“But then I turned 40 in May and suddenly I felt grown up and like I was ready for something and I didn’t know what it was.
“We realised we would have to start trying straight away to avoid having a newborn at the wedding. So we did. We gave it one shot. And it happened!”
Kate and Martin are already proud parents to their four-legged pals, Baxter and Shirley, Border Terriers.
The new parents have been in a relationship for eight years, with Martin popping the question back in 2018.
