Jennifer Lopez has opened up about her struggles with fame, heartbreak, and the relentless scrutiny she faces online. In an honest interview with Interview magazine, the star reflected on the turbulent summer when she canceled her tour and ended her marriage to Ben Affleck. “My whole f—ing world exploded,” she revealed.

Lopez shared how the intense public speculation surrounding her breakup affected her. Despite the rumors and conjecture about her personal life, she emphasized the importance of knowing her own truth. “I know that everything that’s being written and said about me, and all the conjecture of who I am as a person, is not who I am,” the Marry Me actress explained, via People.

At 55, Lopez has become a seasoned veteran in the entertainment industry and has learned to navigate online criticism. “Social media… I don’t take it as seriously as everybody else,” she admitted. “I know I’m a good person. I know I’m a good mom.” Despite her resilience, she acknowledged that hurtful comments can still sting. “Please don’t get me wrong, if I see something that’s hurtful, I’m not Teflon.”

To rise above the negativity, Lopez focuses on her passions and her family. “What matters for me, as an artist, is doing work that inspires me and that I enjoy doing… This is my life’s passion. I love to sing. I love to dance. I love to act,” she shared, emphasizing that staying true to her craft keeps her grounded.

Lopez also expressed her understanding of online trolls, recognizing that they often represent a small, unhappy group. “Somebody who is going to take the time to make a video just to jump on that thing — how can I pay attention to that when I have these beautiful kids and all this amazing stuff going on in my life?” she said, putting things into perspective.

Through resilience and self-assurance, Lopez has developed a mantra for overcoming life’s challenges. “Even in hard times, I just go, ‘You know the truth.’ Head high. Like they said in Finding Nemo: Keep on swimming,” she said, inspiring others to remain steadfast in the face of adversity.
