Hollywood stars Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were just seen together for the first time since the singer filed for divorce. The estranged couple, who made headlines with their shocking split, were spotted out for brunch with their children, sparking rumors about their close interactions.
Photos captured the pair standing close, looking cordial, but things reportedly got more intimate as insiders revealed they were “kissing and holding hands.” According to a report, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were displaying major PDA at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where they enjoyed brunch with their children.
In an unexpected twist, the divorcing duo were seen smiling and relaxed during their outing at the famous Beverly Hills Hotel in California. Images showed Lopez and Affleck side by side, surrounded by their children, as they made their way inside the hotel. But, according to Page Six, their friendly demeanor wasn’t the whole story.
“Ben and JLo are currently at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel holding hands and kissing,” an insider told the outlet. “The kids are with them, but at a separate table.” Despite being in the midst of a highly publicized divorce, their public display of affection turned heads. The former couple was also spotted in what appeared to be a deep conversation while sitting in a car outside the hotel.
Affleck and Lopez were accompanied by their children from previous marriages for the brunch outing. Affleck brought along Seraphina (Fin), 15, and Samuel, 12, while Lopez was joined by her twins, Max and Emme, 16.
For the outing, Affleck sported a blue button-down shirt and jeans, paired with Nike sneakers, while Lopez looked stylish in a black long-sleeved crop top and flared jeans. Both stars kept their sunglasses on throughout the outing. Notably, Lopez accessorized with her engagement ring on her pinky finger and a “Jennifer” ring on her wedding finger, fueling further speculation.
To add to the intrigue, Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, was also reportedly seen at the hotel. She was spotted leaving with her kids after having brunch, according to Page Six.
This brunch date comes just after Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, marking the anniversary of their 2022 wedding. Rumors of their split had been circulating for months, and Lopez filed the legal documents without an attorney, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup. She did not request spousal support and asked the court to deny any support for Affleck if he chose to request it in his response.
The divorce documents revealed that Lopez and Affleck did not sign a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot, which means that all their earnings from joint ventures and projects during their brief two-year marriage will be considered “community property.”
Affleck’s assets include his production company, Artists Equity (AE), which he co-founded with Matt Damon just months after their wedding. Films produced by AE, like “Air” and “The Instigators,” are among the projects now tied to the divorce. Lopez, on the other hand, has assets such as her cocktail brand, Delola, and profits from film projects like “The Mother” and “Atlas” that are now part of the division of their shared property.
