It wasn’t a surprise when Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee took to Instagram to wish her husband, Ben Aaron, a happy 43rd birthday. What caught fans off guard, however, was the unusual photo she chose to share in celebration, according to Hello! Magazine.
On Tuesday, Sept. 10, Zee posted a series of photos on Instagram, including a black-and-white shot of her, Aaron, and their two sons, Adrian and Miles, posing in a boiler room. In the quirky image, Miles holds an upside-down TV while Adrian stands on a tub, adding to the confusion and amusement of fans.
“Happiest birthday to the man born on the peak of hurricane season who suggests the boiler room for family photos! We love you deeply — Happy 43rd my love ❤️,” Zee captioned the post, tagging the photographer and adding, “thank you for trying new things lol.”
The photographer, Karen Morneau, was quick to comment on the post, humorously acknowledging the unconventional setting: “I have to say family photos in the boiler room was a first!”
Fans in the comments echoed the confusion, with one user writing, “For a second I thought the boiler room was a club. Then I realized—no, just your boiler room.”
Another fan playfully questioned Zee’s role in the scene, asking, “G – are you holding onto a container of spackling!? 😂💕” Others simply embraced the oddity, calling the photo “funny but a keeper for sure!”
The post also featured a second photo of Zee and Aaron sharing a lighthearted hug, along with a third image that displayed a weather report showing a peak in storm activity on Sept. 10, humorously tying in Aaron’s birthday with hurricane season.
Zee and Aaron, who have been married since 2014, clearly have a sense of humor when it comes to celebrating special occasions. While the boiler room family portrait left some fans scratching their heads, it’s safe to say the unique setting made Aaron’s 43rd birthday one to remember.
