NBA legend LeBron James, a known supporter of Harris, shared his emotional response on Instagram. Posting a touching photo of himself holding his 10-year-old daughter, Zhuri, on the basketball court, James captioned it, “HEAVY ON MY HEART & MIND THIS AM MY PRINCESS [princess emoji]!! PROMISE TO PROTECT YOU WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE AND MORE!! WE DONT NEED THEIR HELP!” His heartfelt message reflected his protective stance toward his daughter’s future amidst political changes.
James’ post received an outpouring of support in the comments, though some critics also shared their disapproval. Ahead of the election, on October 31, James had publicly endorsed Harris through a video shared on his Instagram, emphasizing his support for her stance on women’s rights. “I wanted to make sure it was seen, heard, and heard with force,” he explained in an interview with Fox News. “Having a daughter, having a wife, having a mother and things of that nature, what (Harris) believes in when it comes to women’s rights is what I see for the future with my kids and where our country should be. I mean, come on – you guys know me. It damn sure wasn’t going the other way.”
James, who shares three children with his wife Savannah, has long used his platform to speak on social issues and advocate for equality. In addition to Zhuri, he has two sons: Bryce, 17, and Bronny, 20, who now plays in the NBA alongside his father.
