She’s the February cover girl of Glamour magazine, and it’s no wonder thanks to her flawless looks. Zooey Deschanel stepped out to celebrate her recent shoot for the glossy magazine on Monday night at the Cindi Leive celebrates Glamour Cover Girl event in West Hollywood. And she ensured she looked picture perfect again, knowing all eyes would be on her at the bash.
Zooey opted for a green lace dress for the outing, showing off her feminine side in the girly number. The 33-year-old showed off her glowing skin against the vibrant frock, while she wore her dark locks down and straight. She kept her make-up simple but put on a subtle slick of red lipstick, while matching her nails with a scarlet colour. And she certainly seemed to be enjoying her night as she posed up next to Glamour Editor In Chief Cindi Leive herself.
Actresses Sasha Spielberg and Shannon Woodward, as well as screenwriter Kirsten Smith were also in attendance. And it was a far cry from how Deschanel appears in the actual magazine. The Elf star poses for a western style shoot for the February issue and was joined by Miley Cyrus’ model ex, Justin Gaston for the images. Zooey wears a strapless Prabal Gurung dress perfectly matching her ice blue eyes on the cover, shot by photographer Ellen von Unwerth.
Inside its pages, she frolics on the desert terrain in Los Angeles, puckering her red lips, smelling a yellow daisy and wrangling a rope from Justin. The actress spoke to the magazine about taking the reigns of her own career. ‘I just realised I am happier and do better work if I’m doing what I believe in,’ she said.
