Whether she’s dressing up or down, Victoria Beckham certainly knows how to put an outfit or two together – a fact she proved in New York City on Tuesday. The former Spice Girl was stepping out following her appearance at the Met Gala with husband David Beckham at the city’s Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art. But as the football icon jetted off to Miami, where he took in a basketball later that day, fashion forward Victoria Beckham opted for a striking ensemble for a day out in the Big Apple. The designer had worn a simple white strapless gown for the evening, but the morning after she opted for a preppy green jumper and jeans. Of course Victoria sported a pair of towering boots to go with her outfit and trademark Aviator sunglasses. The previous day, shortly before her appearance at the Met Gala, she looked equally stylish in a flowing black dress that was all the more distinctive by virtue of the gold chain that decorated its left hip.
she made her way into her temporary residence at the Mark Hotel. The two looked every inch the power couple as they arrived at the Met Gala in New York on Monday night, hosted by Vogue editor, Anna Wintour. But despite all the famous faces from fashion, music and film, Victoria Beckham was happiest to be with her husband of thirteen years. She shared a picture of her looking adoringly at David, with the message: ‘So proud to share such a great evening with my wonderful husband x vb MetGala CharlesJames’.
Holding hands as they posed for photographs on the red carpet, the stunning couple were the main attraction in their matching white outfits. Victoria Beckham, 40, looked lovely in a white column dress from her own collection and matching white vertiginous heels. She accessorised with diamond drop earrings and a matching bracelet and ring. Despite the length of her gown and the height of her heels, she glided effortlessly up the steps into the Metropolitan Museum Of Art where the event was being held.
Her handsome husband David, 39, wore a suit jacket in the same hue which he teamed with black trousers and a matching bow-tie. Wintour – who is co-hosting this year’s party with Sarah Jessica Parker and Bradley Cooper – is charging $25,000 at ticket, $10,000 more than last year’s price. The theme was White Tie And Decorations, an ode to Anglo-American designer Charles James. Victoria Beckham and David had remained by each other’s sides all day – making it a truly romantic trip to New York. -dailymail
