Mostly, oily skin is more prone to blackheads, which is why they mostly appear on the nose being the oiliest area on our face.

There are many skin care products available in the markets that help in removing the blackheads. Facial scrubs, face washes, facial masks and nose tapes are some of the few products that claim that they help in getting rid of blackheads. However, there are certain blackheads home remedies that can be both beneficial and economical in removing them.

  • Make Your Own Homemade Scrub

The first thing that you can do to get rid of blackheads on nose is to make your own facial scrub according to your skin type. Don’t just rely on the products available in the market; most of the homemade facial scrubs are great for the skin and help in removing dirt from the pores of the skin. They contain all the natural ingredients and are free of any harsh chemicals, which make them even safer to use.

  • Coriander Leaves and Turmeric Powder

Grind fresh coriander leaves and mix them with a little turmeric powder. Apply this paste on your nose for 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. This is a good blackheads home remedy.

  • Lemon and Sugar

Take a teaspoon of sugar and put a few drops of fresh lemon juice on it. Now apply this mixture on your nose and rub it gently in small circular motions. This will really help in getting rid of blackheads.

  • Lemon Steaming

Boil 2-3 cups of water and put a few drops of lemon in it. Now put a towel over your head and take the steam for not more than 5 minutes. This will loosen the blackheads on nose and will make it easier to take them out.

  • Grated Potatoes

Grate a fresh potato and apply on the nose. Leave it for five minutes. Remove it with a damp washcloth. This is a good blackheads remedy.

  • Clay Masks

Clay masks have proven to be really beneficial in removing blackheads. They are made with 100% natural ingredients and are economical as well.

  • Rosewater, Lavender and Alcohol

Mix the rosewater, lavender and alcohol in equal quantity. Mix them well and apply on the nose to get rid of blackheads. Leave this mixture for 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water afterwards.

  • Corn Flour and Vinegar

Take a teaspoon of corn flour and put a few drops of vinegar to make a fine paste. Apply this paste and leave for 20 minutes. This is a good home remedy for blackheads.

  • Peanut Oil and Lemon

This one is a good home remedy to prevent blackheads. Mix equal quantities of peanut oil and lemon juice and apply the mixture on your nose for 20 minutes. Wash off your face with lukewarm water afterwards.
