How to Deep Condition Your Hair?

Deep conditioning hair is an easy process that can help your hair grow, shine and heal. For those of you who are looking for easy means on how to deep condition hair, we can tell you that it is not a difficult task.

1. Things you will need

• Hair brush
• Towel
• Shampoo
• Conditioner (which can be left on hair for more than 10 minutes)
• Shower cap
• Hair clips

2. Washing

For your hair to be deep conditioned, you must prep it first. So, as the first step towards deep conditioning your hair, you must wash it with a shampoo that suits your hair type.

It is important to study the labels and choose a shampoo that will help your hair. For e.g., if you have frizzy hair, choose a shampoo that will help reduce the frizziness.

3. Drying and Combing

Use a towel to squeeze out excess water from your hair as the next step in how to deep condition your hair. Don’t dry it too much, since for the conditioner to work, you will need the hair to be wet.

Once you feel that the excess water is all out, take a comb with broad teeth and comb it through your hair. This will remove all the tangles and make you hair ready for deep conditioning.

4. Splitting

Split your hair into 4 to 5 sections using a comb. Use hair clips to hold these sections into place.

5. Conditioning

Take some conditioner in the palm of your hand and spread it out evenly on both your hands. Now, apply the conditioner starting from the scalp to the ends of one section. Hold the section back in place with hair clip.

Repeat the same procedure for all the sections. Release the clips and then massage your scalp gently so that the conditioner is well absorbed. Wrap a plastic bag or shower cap around your hair.

6. Washing

We have come to the last step on how to deep condition your hair. All you need to do is wash your hair with cold water for the deep conditioning to work. Then, dry your hair with a dry soft towel and style your hair.
