Jean-Michel Othoniel J’Adore Dior Artist Edition Fragrance

Christian Dior Fragrance 2013

The famous French artist, Michel Othoniel unveils the new look of the bottle of J’Adore Dior, a distinct fragrance from the fashion house Christian Dior. Othoniel who has undertaken a collaboration with Delphine Arnault, board of director LVMH, was delegated the work of redesigning the bottle of J’adore, well known in the beauty industry for its exclusive amalgamation of flowers from varied lands. The original bottle was also very aesthetically designed with heaps of thin gold bands forming a tribal-looking necklace, bringing to memory the tradition of Kayan Lahwi tribes. The women of these tribes elongate their necks with heaps of brass neck coils to give themselves a distinct look. The new bottle on the other hand loosens the constraints of the necklace, epitomizing the freedom of women to wear whatever they want. The wire and bead embellishing the bottle are speckled with gold leaf, melted into the molten glass.

Othoniel tapped the Murano glassmakers of Venice, Italy to make the glass bottle, while completely adhering to the technical details. Othoniel’s Artist Edition is limited to only 300 pieces and is available at the price of $3,500. – Luxurylaunches
