FDA alert: if you own this fruit packet, it could be life-threatening

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a public recall for this specific fruit packet, as it could be dangerous.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has added a new recall to its website as a certain packet of fruit could be potentially life-threatening to some people.

The new recall has been posted on the FDA website, and according to the post, Hickory Harvest Foods of Akron is voluntarily recalling Vanilla Flavored Yogurt Covered Cranberries that come under the brand of Sprouts Farmer Market. The bulletin post says the reason for the recall is because the fruit packet contains undeclared almonds.

People who are sensitive or have severe allergic reactions to almonds would risk having a serious or even “life-threatening” allergic reason if they consumed the product, hence the public recall. The product was sold in multiple states across the county between the dates of June 2, 2020, to February 2, 2021. In the entirety of this article, you will find all of the states the product was sold, best-by-dates, and UPC codes. For more information on this story, check out this link here.
